What are 3 words you would use to describe EAG?
What’s been one of your proudest moments working at EAG?
During 2020, while working remotely and coordinating with over 40 different people, we were able to work together and coordinate the conversion and set up of two large acquisitions within six months.
What advice do you have for prospective candidates that want to join EAG?
It is important to know your strengths, but also your weaknesses as they can be the greatest opportunity for growth. At EAG, it is important to have a strong foundation in your background but be open to learning new things and take on new challenges which can be the greatest experience.
What’s one thing – either industry-related or not – you learned in the last month?
Recently, I have learned the complexities of transferring and structuring data for M-Files. The greatest challenge being securely and efficiently transferring large amounts of data files in a way that maintains all data to be well organized and manageable.
What do you like to do in your free time? Any favorite places you like to visit?
I enjoy traveling and hiking and recommend most U.S national parks, but Zion National Park in Utah is a must for any outdoor explorer. While at home I enjoy grilling, playing the ukulele, and long walks with our dog Zilker.
Tell us something that might surprise us about you.
I enjoy gardening! Our garden now consists of a miracle fruit plant, papaya tree, multiple dragon fruits, mango tree, guava tree, and Chinese mahogany with edible leaves.
How do you balance your career and family?
Communication and time management are the keys to a well-balanced life. Most careers will not happen between 8-5 but it is important to make time for the people that are important to us. If you are honest and communicate, I have found that there is always an opportunity to make time and enjoy your time together.
Who or what inspires you and why?
The strong women in my life are a constant inspiration. My wife is the most driven person I know, we can speak for hours and hours and at the end of our conversations, I will be compelled to go learn new things and skills. Additionally, my sister who is finishing her PhD in Public Health is a constant inspiration and motivator to give back to our community and help the world be a better place.
