What are 3 words you would use to describe EAG?
Inclusive, Collaborative, and Opportunity
What’s been one of your proudest moments working at EAG?
One of my proudest moments at EAG was when the company was awarded its first SOC compliance certification. I was part of the SOC Compliance team that worked on standardizing controls, policies, and procedures and to receive the certifications was such a rewarding experience! It was a fulfilling to be on a team that helped EAG gain a competitive advantage.
What advice do you have for prospective candidates that want to join EAG?
My advice for prospective candidates is to be hungry, humble, and smart. Candidates need to reflect and really think about if they like challenges, enjoy solving problems, and are proactive about reaching a solution – if so, EAG wants to talk to you! At EAG we pay it forward and look for opportunities for people to grow and succeed in a collaborative and supportive environment. Candidates should be intelligent in their subject matter areas, creative, and excited about their job responsibilities.
What’s one thing – either industry-related or not – you learned in the last month?
I learned my personality profile by taking the DISC during a half-day Communication seminar! I also learned my team’s personality profiles. It was interesting to see how my personality falls in line with the type of work that I do at EAG and why I enjoy it so much. During this training, we were also able to learn how team member’s personalities can enhance our working styles and understand each other’s nuances. This is one example of how EAG thinks of new and creative ways to build better teams and better results.
What do you like to do in your free time? Any favorite places you like to visit?
In my free time, I enjoy being active outside. I like to take walks and have fun playing sports with my kids. To get some alone time, I love doing yoga and barre classes from online apps. My favorite place is going back home to visit my family. I traveled a lot in past job positions and there is nothing like the hometown where you grew up!
Tell us something that might surprise us about you.
I practiced a plant-based lifestyle for about 5 years. I recently just transitioned to being a vegetarian. I have enjoyed how open my EAG colleagues have been in tasting my green smoothies and beet juice!
How do you balance your career and family?
I try to make moments count when I am with my kids. Having a consistent routine is crucial in successfully balancing career and a family. For example, I take the kids to school every morning and then begin my day. In the evenings, I take a break from my work and am a mom 100%. I am bathing, reading stories, and tucking in. After everyone is asleep, I then can focus back on my work tasks if needed. My position at EAG has made my work life balance seamless.
Who or what inspires you and why?
My parents inspire me. They have taught me motivation and dedication and instilled in me a strong work ethic that inspires me to perform my best in my career and as a parent. In addition, they taught me to be a good person and value others.
