What are 3 words you would use to describe EAG?
What’s been one of your proudest moments working at EAG?
Going through my first go-live with EAG was one of my toughest and proudest moments. That project stands out above the others because I was able to help facilitate an acquisition, learn a lot of new technologies, and assist in the successful standup of an entire company. The clients were very appreciative of our team’s hard work.
What advice do you have for prospective candidates that want to join EAG?
Keep an open mind and always be willing and eager to learn. Each project is unique and is another opportunity for you to grow your skillset, whether that be technical or functional. Communication is key.
What’s one thing – either industry-related or not – you learned in the last month?
I learned that it is worthwhile to spend extra money on things that give you back valuable time.
What do you like to do in your free time? Any favorite places you like to visit?
I like to spend time with my family and friends. I also love to be outdoors and travel. My wife and I like visiting new places together; we spent our Honeymoon in Thailand, are planning a trip to Turks & Caicos next month and will be in Europe the following summer.
Tell us something that might surprise us about you.
In high school, I lettered in bowling (prior to any other sport) for the sole purpose of getting my jacket a year early. Turns out, I’m a surprisingly better-than-average bowler. I was always ready to bowl at a moment’s notice. So much so, I used to keep my bowling ball in my trunk; my trunk is now full of either baby gear or golf clubs.
How do you balance your career and family?
I think it’s important to be able to compartmentalize and leave work at work, so when you get home your focus is solely on family. With a 5-month-old at home, this has been key for me. Communicating and setting clear expectations with co-workers and clients about responsibilities, work hours, etc. is crucial.
Who or what inspires you and why?
My family inspires me. On top of being the best mom to our baby girl, my wife is a labor and delivery nurse; the most stressful and rewarding job there is. Hearing about all the beautiful and scary moments she navigates through daily makes me feel extremely blessed that I have such a strong and supportive person by my side. My daughter has also completely shifted my priorities. I have always thought about the future but now that my daughter is here, my energy has shifted toward focusing how I can help provide the best life for our little blessing. The support of my wife, daughter, parents, and brother is what gets me through each day.
Your life motto
“Quit talking about it and be about it.”
What’s your superpower?
Adaptability. I feel like I am a go-with-the-flow type of person and am open to change when it comes to unpredictable situations.
