How would you describe EAG?

Honestly, I describe EAG as a Gamechanger; not only when it comes to the services we offer, but for the opportunities afforded to those who are able to be a part of such a wonderful culture.

What’s been one of your proudest moments working at EAG?

My proudest moment at EAG is when I was able to come back “home” to EAG in 2020. I had missed this company so much over the years that I was away, as EAG helped me to get my career going in the Drilling & Completions space and with WellView. Every time, I would run into Elizabeth or Ahmed, my heartbeat would get louder and louder because I missed working with them very much.  I have always valued EAG, and to be back is like a dream come true!

What advice do you have for prospective candidates that want to join EAG?

The advice I have for prospective candidates that want to join EAG is to come in hungry and with enthusiasm to not only learn the EAG Way, but to be positive in everything you are doing.

What’s one thing – either industry-related or not – you learned in the last month?

Within the industry, I have learned more functionality in the OpenInvoice software and some more things around Revenue Accounting.

Outside of the industry, I am continuing to learn what it means to be a parent and a father, as I did not have father growing up. I am still working on mastering the changing of sticky diapers 😊.

What do you like to do in your free time? Any favorite places you like to visit?

I like to play with my little girl (about 9 months now), watch movies and TV shows, and eat pizza from different restaurants. I love pizza!

I love history, and enjoy going on vacation and to places where the history is interesting so that I can learn and explore!

Tell us something that might surprise us about you.

As a child, I always wanted to be a rocket scientist. I loved the stars, planets, and anything about space.  I even made sure that one of my elective classes in High School was Astronomy. I still have my notebook from that class if anyone wants to know how to determine the zenith or the constellations.

As I got into college, I got the opportunity to work at the Solar Observatory on campus and helped our campus researchers study the sun. I worked with telescopes and took images of activity happening on the sun for 3 years while in college. I even was able to present at an Astronomical conference. Good times!!!

How do you balance your career and family?

I make sure to take time out each day for my family, whether it is watching our favorite tv shows or letting my daughter climb all over me as much as she likes. She loves to climb!

At times there is work that needs more of my attention outside of office hours. My family understands this and supports me in it, if I make sure to give them the quality time they need and ask for.

Ultimately, balance between my career and family comes down to be present and in the moment.

Who or what inspires you and why?

I am inspired by my mother and her dedication, work ethic, and perseverance to ensure that my brother and I grew up in a stable enough home and to have respect for ourselves and others.

My mother was a single parent and seeing how she worked and did all she could to ensure we had food on the table, clothes on our back, and a roof over our head, instilled hard work and how to take on challenges that life brings you.

Your life motto?

“Remember to smile just because!”

What’s your superpower? (What are you confident in knowing that you’re good at)

My superpower is “Rapid-Fire.”  Given the time and focus, I can learn things quickly and become a subject matter expert.
