How would you describe EAG?
EAG is a place where you are encouraged to always continue growing. Each project presents unique challenges, but your colleagues are there to support you and care about your professional growth.
What’s been one of your proudest moments working at EAG?
During my first year at EAG I volunteered to help with the Adopt a Family event. Seeing the joy on the faces of the family and the impact EAG could have on the community was inspiring. It was wonderful to see an example of EAG’s teamwork culture firsthand.
What advice do you have for prospective candidates that want to join EAG?
Take advantage of the learning opportunities, whether it is from your colleagues, EAG EDU, or attending events. No project is the same, so make sure to enjoy the experience and take the time to reflect on the amazing things you were able to accomplish.
What’s one thing – either industry-related or not – you learned in the last month?
Work-life balance is important. It is easy to let it get away from you when you are in the middle of a project, and your EAG colleagues are there to support you.
What do you like to do in your free time? Any favorite places you like to visit?
Love love love to travel internationally. My favorite destination is still Japan. It is an opportunity to explore new foods, visit family and sight see. If I am unable to travel internationally, I enjoy going to the park with my daughter.
Tell us something that might surprise us about you.
I enjoy being active and have climbed Mount Kilimanjaro. It was one of my most unique experiences.
How do you balance your career and family?
It is all about communication. My husband and I share our schedules to help coordinate our family events. You also have to be open with your project team about your needs and when you need support.
Who or what inspires you and why?
My daughter inspires me. Even though she is only 2 years old, she already has a passion for life and has no fear! She reminds me to enjoy the little things in life that I used to take for granted.
Your life motto?
There is always something to be grateful for.
What’s your superpower? (What are you confident in knowing that you’re good at)
I can think of a song to fit any situation or at least change the lyrics of one to fit.
