What are 3 words you would use to describe EAG?
What’s been one of your proudest moments working at EAG?
Its hard to choose just one! I think each go-live I’ve had at EAG has been a proud moment for me. Its rewarding to look back at the end of each engagement and realize how much our project team has accomplished and the value we have provided to our clients.
What advice do you have for prospective candidates that want to join EAG?
Your past experience is important but your willingness to learn is equally as important. Use your resources, be willing to step out of your comfort zone, and ask questions! One of my favorite things about EAG is how much they encourage you to take on new challenges while providing you with the tools you need to be successful.
What’s one thing – either industry-related or not – you learned in the last month?
I recently mastered making the perfect matcha latte! ?
What do you like to do in your free time? Any favorite places you like to visit?
In my free time I love to stay active and enjoy being in nature. I love to visit places where I can connect the two – whether its hiking in Mexico, skiing in Colorado, rock climbing in Joshua Tree, or hitting the beach for some yoga!
Tell us something that might surprise us about you.
I was vegan for 4 years and currently vegetarian. I’m Mexican and grew up eating a lot of traditional Mexican dishes (which are typically pretty meat focused), one of my favorite things to do since transitioning is learning how to make a vegetarian version of those dishes. Its really helped me fall in love with cooking which is a plus!
How do you balance your career and family?
Setting weekly goals for myself helps me balance both my career and personal life. A successful week for me is accomplishing my weekly goals at work but also making the time to catch dinner with a friend or making it to run club after the workday! I think its important to be realistic about what you can accomplish in a week or even a day.
Who or what inspires you and why?
My sister inspires me the most. She whole-heartedly gives herself to both her work as an early childhood counselor, being a new mom, and her family. It is inspiring to see how she balances everything so effortlessly.
Your life motto
If you don’t go after what you want, you’ll never have it. If you don’t ask, the answer is always no. If you don’t step forward, you’re always in the same place.
What’s your superpower?
I like to think that staying calm is my super-power. Nothing is ever as bad as it seems!
